The week started very well ,no big dramas. The runs were sweet and the roads were fairly empty - but this was all to change....

Emily came home saying that a poem of hers has been published in book at school,I am of course over the moon, but my doubting mind is starting to think that this could be a bit of a con - IN MY OWN OPINION - if for example a firm was to write to schools asking for poems to put in a book, then proceed to put say for example 1000 poems in this book, then say for example the parents buy the book plus two copies for loving grand parents - bish bash bosh there you have 3000 sales - as this is a NORTH WEST edition that means that there are at least 12 other areas to target - there by making 36000 sales . I only started to doubt when Jessica and Rebecca both came home with write a poem competition slips??? Still if it gets her interested in English who am I to get in the way.

I got caught in the big storm that hit the UK this week , I had the full spectrum of weather , I started at Southwaite services and hit snow on the M6 at Shap. It was deep enough to cover the whole road and force drivers to the middle lane and crawl along at 10 mph. Then I went across the A65 to Skipton , there were massive floods and sleet - as I have a thing about driving through puddles I had the time of my life . Then it was off to Ramsbottom and into the wind a small respite before being blown onto the hard shoulder of the M1 even with 28 TON of paper , I shit my pants (well nearly ). I pulled into Wooley Edge services and sat it out.I saw wagons limping in all afternoon. One bloke whos wagon was going over tried to get out of his cab only to have his door blown off.Ramsbottom

Ive put the pictures on here as I only took three as I was to busy holding on for dear life.
