Back over in Ireland ,the crossing was perfect,calm and on MOONDANCE the pride of the Heysham/Warrenpoint fleet.The food on board is topnotch.The boat seems to chug across rather than flat out.I saw the seals basking in the dawn sun light on the rocks at the mouth of Carlingford Loch and the lighthouse next to them.I also noticed that there is a net strung out across the mouth of the river so there must be fish in there somewhere.

On Wednesday of this week I saw a EMO petrol tanker with smoke billowing out of the rear axel at the Toll Plaza at Drogheda on the M1 Northbound,as I drove past I actualy ducked down - on looking back what good would that of done me??Engulfed in a huge fire ball but saved by his quick thinking the driver had ducked down over his steering wheel - The headline says it all.

This is how my mind works - last time I was over here I saw a hill with two huge signs at the top,one said UP and the other said DOWN,now I thought that this was some kind of traffic control for eager children sledgeing.Now I think I have got the full meaning - when in Tipperary this week I saw another huge sign saying UP TIPP, so the signs were'nt for traffic control at all,they were for the Hurling and for the COUNTY DOWN team.Thats how much of a silly arse I realy am,still it makes me laugh.

I had a multidrop run run on Thursday,starting in the North and finishing in the south.They look on paper, to be easy,but then you add in time critical drops and stuck out in the middle of nowhere drops, and it takes on a whole new meaning.When the GPS map just runs out of road its down to maps again , I managed to find a PHILIP'S STREET ATLAS of County Down and County Armagh last week in a shop,but it's a well thumbed copy that has been used by gorillas who rather than buy the book just fold the covers over and break the spine,so its not going to look as pristine as my other maps but still it lists every road unlike AUTOROUTE.

Thats it now for another week,I am sat on the docks filthy black with grime,waiting for the showers to become free.Today I saw a piece of art that blew me away,it was made from old lawn mower parts in a place near Navan .I would love it in my garden just rusting away or for the sweat peas to grow up.

The weekend was spent sat on the docks trying again in vain to catch a fish,I had got some fish offcuts from the fishmonger on the market at Warrenpoint,I caught bugger all again but did have a couple of bites so I am on the right lines. We were going to watch a game of Irish football on Sunday but instead drove down to Cork to get to our first drops first thing monday morning.So Friday night was speant in the pub accross from the docks by my first pint I think the novelty of ringing Jo up each time I went outside for a smoke was starting to annoy her - by the forth pint of ice cold silky Guiness I am pretty sure she was realy hacked off. The crows here at Warrenpoint have silver backs,Bernard reckons that the Gulls and Crows are getting jiggy with each other so on return to the U.K I want to look up what they are exactly. Oh I also spent £28 on maps this weekend - so that went down like a fart in a spacesuit.

Well I think I have a valid point.
