| Christmas is coming and the goose is getting fat blah blah blah, well I know the festive season is just around the corner because I am starting to think about the three week mega camping trip next summer. On a more serious note,I find my self trying to grab as much hard cash as I can to purchase the girls goodies this year. When my mother died we gave the girls the best Christmas they could ever hope for,but ever since then we have tried to up the ante each year and try and out do ourselves each year, some may say we spoil them, but as the holiday and Christmas are the only two things we do as a family I feel that we are well within our rights to go over the top and bollocks to what people think.Plus the fact its nice cooking for the two Grandads, god only knows what they think of it all....
I find myself starting the third week of another Irish run, this weekend I intend to harvest the huge mussels I saw last weekend and cook up a bit of a seafood platter for the 'Owd dog' Bernard,I cooked him up a pan full of parched peas for a treat on thursday - 60 bloody minutes on simmer.Next time I will cook them at home and then bring them over.
I am updating this from a layby near Cork, trying to stay awake for as long as I can, I can't stop getting up at 01:30 on the dot.I manged 02:29 last night.I havent got a clue why this is happening but I wish there was something else other than Jeremy bloody Kyle on Irish telly at that time of the morning. What an advert for UK life that show is.

| The next experiment with the phone is to see how much it costs to check my e-mail and up load on page in a 3g area,my credit is £5.33 before I start.
Right it cost a grand total of £5.33 just to upload three photos. So the moral of that story is that this web site is not to be updated via the mobile phone.
The ducks that I found at Newtownards near Belfast are ready to be set free after a short period of captivity in my cab.I have plastered the web site URL all over them and hopefully if someone finds them they can look them up and find out where they came from, unlike me.I will set two free now as it is a very high tide today, and then the other two will be set free in Garstang at Monkey Island.

| A Pentel Pen from Groves has let me give a little more detail as to where the ducks have come from this time.Should anyone find one they can come here and find out where and when they were let back into the wild. Each have our names 'sur la cul de la canard' |

| Its Dawn at Warrenpoint on Sunday, and as it was a full moon last night I have come down to try and get a picture of the sun rising over the mountains while the tide is right out.All of the boats are grounded on the mud of the harbour and there is only the few dedicated dog walkers up at this time of the day. |

| The ducks were launched at high tide on Sunday,as they had been in the cab for so long they have forgotten how to swim.I hope they learn soon as the tide will be rushing out again. With a bit of luck they should clear the Loch - only time will tell.
Tony Alan the Spider Catcher has just been on the main RTE news,I actualy found myself crying out a WooooHoooooooo when I saw him. What a 100% genuine bloke, top man.He is now looking into an Ashtray cover to prevent ash from blowing into your pint when having a crafty fag outside in a pub.
Over to Gort then run back to the point to pick up a load for Waterford,Jo had put some cash in the bank for me so I was able to get some serious food in and of course replenish the cidre celler. So for tea tonight it was Pork chops,Kerry Pinks (a posh potato) and Birds Eye mixed veg all swiming in Bisto Best ....yum yum yum.
I saw three birds on the N9 when fueling up, at first I thought they were Peacocks or something. But it turns out they are South African Guninea Foul, daft as brushes just pecking around the hard shoulder for food - they had the look of a cracking eating bird and will ask Daniel the South African driver what they are like as he has told many a tale of eating bush caught game.

My trusted six wheel stallion broke down, its exhaust dropped off - well the flexible pipe came away from the big box on the side.I called in at Groves and the top men in the workshop put me a new pipe on.Quality mechanics are very easy to spot - and the two working away in that workshop ouse quality. It was a long job but the chances are that whatever happens to the lorry in the future wont effect the exhaust!!

| I still think the lorry was jinxed by Bernard saying on Monday I should be able to read the lorry like a book and hear any problems straight away - well not only did I hear it but also County Waterford,County Killkenny and County Dublin heard the problem. |
