My mega money weekend was ruined by a broken clutch,back in blighty for the weekend.Moondance back over and I almost wet my pants at dinner time.On the last few crossings a certain passenger - no names mentioned to protect the innocent - has asked for potatoes with his meal.The poor steward isnt sure what he means and keeps offering salad as his English is bad.So one would say potatoes and the other would say salad,dosent sound funny but the louder they both get the funnier I find it.It ends when the good pasenger submits and accepts salad.Well to cut a long story short,the steward has now clicked on that you can mash potatoes and ALL the food now comes with mash,so it was me that was saying chips and he was now saying potatoes rather than salad.

Big mistake,I was taken in by the big Burger King picture of the Sweet Chilli Chicken burger poster at Birch Services on the M62,what a pile of crap my meal was.Two over cooked pieces of meat,three tiny pieces of salad all served on stale toast.6 quid down the pan.It looked nothing like the picture - what a fat fool I was thinking that I would get a cracking meal.That will teach me.I will send the photo along with a letter to Mr Burger King and tell him exactly what I thought.On the subject of Moto Service Stations its good to be back in the smelly,no soap,no water no shower, toilets on the motorways of the UK.



I am bulk hauling carrots this week from the actual airstrip used by the the Lancaster bombers on the dam busters raid,how cool is that.I am working with my other good friend at DCL young Mr Birch.This is the peak time for veg growers in the UK.The farmer has told me the crop has to be a certain size to be accepted by the Supermarkets and up to 60% of the crop could be rejected.Now bent or mishaped carrotts dont taste any different?Also the thing that shocked me was that should a crop fail in any shape way or form there is no insurance.I would'nt be able to sleep at night.Its Tuesday now and I think todays run is Parsnips.

				Whilst waiting for the second load of carrots I noticed that it would be possible to make up a flag from the various legumes on the floor,after the sucess of the first 'flag' I now noticed that I could knock up a flag from the colours on my lorry - each picture being taken in the panorama mode of the mobile phone. Dont worry I had to wait another 20 minutes even after farting around with my camera......

Wednesday,and I have got the day off work to hitch up to Santas slaedge and hit Preston with all the money we had saved up since coming back from Wales.Emily knew what we were both up to and tried to play up and get the day off school - she may hate me now but anything she tries I will have done it before and in a much more convincing way. Even on a cold day the shops were heaving,Jo loves this day.Its now become part of our married life.Purse full of money and a list of things to get.We have a meal at Pizza Hut half way through.

All that walking and spending had given me a right thirst,so I let the other people in Pizza Hut have a crack at the buffet whilst I polished off two bottles - yum yum yum.


When in Preston I bought a Sat Nav in the toy'r'us sale - reduced from 140 to 74 how cool is that full european street level mapping - I thought it might be a bit crappy but so far so good. The new Navman N 40i personal navigation device features a built in digital camera that takes geo-coordinate embedded pictures so you can navigate back to your favorite destinations. Packed with all the standard features, you can enter an address, or for you right brained individuals, tap a photo from your NavPix album on the 3.5"touchscreen to specify your destination. Even better, you can download and share pictures with other Navman users and photos are integrated onto the GPS map for easy identification. Other useful features include gas and park buttons to find the nearest gas station or parking lot and automatic re-routing in case you miss a turn.
