What a fantastic weekend , even though I still one of the last to return on Friday - quelle surprise - this did not dampen the great atmosphere. We had scrimped and saved to get the girls what they wanted . The main gifts were :

• Rebecca - a mini Hi Fi and an air hokey game
• Jessica - a new Raliegh bike and an MP3 player
• Emily - a Sony K750i phone and a 1Gb Mp3 player

There were of course lots of little presents aswell , the two Grandads got a pair of Brasher Gortex walking shoes for Dave , and the Catherine Tate series one and two for my Dad. Jo got my eyes watering after buying me the Chris Moyles book and a diary after we had both said that we would'nt be buying anything for each other.

The dinner was fantastic , very chilled out , very well prepared. The meat was great - thanks Dave - the cake looked the part , and best of all the pudding burned well with the help of a lot of Brandy.Boxing Day sees me back in the kitchen for the big Deadman Family gathering. This will be a self service buffet for 12 .
