The latest gear for the rear for the laptop is this Epson V100 scanner - I want to scan in loads of slides and negatives that are kept at Jones HQ and now that the price is right and also it's my 40th I can justify the cost - £70 . The only down side is the two hours of my life stolen from me by bloody PC World both at Preston and Lancaster.The bloke at Lancaster can only be described as a toss pot who is more interested in strutting his stuff rather than actualy serving customers a real 'Timmy no stars' - a person who works in a fast food outlet but as yet has no reward stars on his name badge - The scans however are keeping me above water , got some cracking pictures from my mothers wedding day, right back to my Grandad in some far flung corner of the Earth. I have noticed that they seem to scan at a huge size , which causes a problem when editing them. The next step is to try the vast collection of slides as most of the negatives are pre me....... Had a drop at a cash and carry last week , it was open to the public so I had a walk round , Polish fork truck driver only took 15 minutes per pallet and I had 22 on so I had the time to do it . They sold bags of Tiger Prawns for £5 a killo , so we will be making a special trip out there before Chrimble.Turned out my mega wage last week was not to be. Santa and his little mates have started to make some of the presents because he heard the girls talking about what they would like , and he will be posting some pictures soon on his Grotto page. |
