Christmas 2007
Our lights go up the first week of December, this is when the excitement starts. The cake has already been baked and drenched in Brandy,Jo normaly has a huge pile of stuff bought already and we also have saved £50 pounds a week from my wages since coming back from the Wales safari.Last year we did'nt have the cash as I was working for the Scottish firm and I could'nt afford to take the money out of my wages.

As the big day gets nearer my dad gets roped into playing Santa at the school - this year was no different. The two little girls play along - Rebecca still isnt sure if Father Christmas is real or not.The other two have clicked on but they to wont 'diss' the big man when asked directly if he exists or not

Christmas Eve sees us going round to my Dads for a buffet and a good game of Dominoes, this year we played for a mega jackpot of ten pounds. For all her bragging and saying she would win,Jessica got beat and the winner by a mile was Rebecca. There was no drama or shouting all in all a chilled out evening. The down side was that I got carried away on the Port - the less said the better.

The dinner was cooked by me and went down a storm, again the meat was bought by Dave,my only let down was the cake as it had'nt been fed enough Brandy, but not to worry.Emily had made the girls a sponge cake for pudding and I think everyone was well fed and watered. The left over veg were turned into a big plate of bubble and squeak for Boxing Day.
